Cherly has been doing CrossFit since August of 2008. Presently busy raising two CFitting boys ages 15 and 12.
Previously she served as the Director of the North Tampa Alternative School. The Alternative School offered nontraditional educational options to “troubled” kids in Hillsborough County Public Schools.
While in New York working on her Masters, She interned and later worked for Sponsors of Education Opportunity (SEO). SEO is a nonprofit organization founded to mentor African-American and Latino high school students.
Her responsibilities included providing academic enrichment programs to inner city kids, as well as staff development programming to SEO employees.
